(Pocket-lint) – According to an industry commentator, EA may be working on an unannounced game with a Marvel property to continue the comics and film giant’s conquest of the game.

The game is not detailed in any way by Shpeshal_Nick, who says he was told by a source that a project is in the works, leaving us completely in the dark as to which series or character it might adapt.

However, you can make a certain amount of guesswork through the exclusion process. We know that big characters like Spider-Man, the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Wolverine are all covered by games that have either come out or are announced.

That still leaves an absolute slew of standalone characters that could easily be popular enough to host their own games, from Iron Man to Captain America, so it’s anyone’s guess.

EA recently proved it could handle licensed games, with the huge success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order leading to a sequel, Survivor.

For now, though, we’re just going to have to keep an ear to the ground with no official word coming from Marvel or EA and no upcoming announcement expected.
